ReikiLinks began in 1997 as an early worldwide Reiki practitioner directory. The original project name was ReikiLinks, with the tagline "Free For All Reiki Links."
At a time when many Reiki practitioners did not yet have their own websites, ReikiLinks helped people find Reiki practitioners, classes, and Reiki-related resources around the world.
The earliest version of the project began at akamail.com/reiki in April 1997. Akamail.com was not my domain name; it was an early location where I had available web space.
Practitioners could submit their own listings through a form, and those entries could be automatically added without manual intervention. Reiki practitioners of all persuasions were invited to participate.
The project later moved to makiki.net, a domain I owned at the time. By June 1997, ReikiLinks was active there.
By July 1997, ReikiLinks.com was being used as the dedicated domain for the ReikiLinks project.
At the time, ReikiLinks was one of the few worldwide Reiki practitioner directories available online.
ReikiLinks included or attempted to include:
In later years, ReikiAloha.com became my main Reiki website. During at least part of this period, I still owned ReikiLinks.com, which pointed visitors to ReikiAloha.com.
This represented an evolution from the original worldwide directory focus toward a broader personal Reiki presence and teaching perspective.
The Reiki material is now preserved at:

The present archive is not a new beginning, but a preservation of material and history that began with the ReikiLinks project in 1997.
